What changes when we stop looking for the perfect answer and start asking a more thoughtful question?

A good question makes room for an answer you did not expect. It does not arrive with a conclusion already attached.

In business, certainty can become a habit. We learn to speak with confidence, move quickly and defend a point of view. A conversation asks something different of us: the willingness to listen.

Rather than asking what made a business successful, we can ask which decision felt least certain at the time. Instead of asking for advice, we can ask what someone changed their mind about. The difference is small. The conversation it opens is not.
